Exosome-Based Novel Treatments in Colorectal Cancer

Dr. Subramanian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery. His research is in the fields of cancer biology and novel therapeutic development. As faculty at the University of Minnesota, he has established an internationally recognized research program focused on understanding microRNA regulatory networks in cancer development and progression. His current research focuses on understanding the interactions between the immune system and cancer and how cancer cells manipulate the anti-tumor immune response. His goal is to translate the knowledge gained into valid therapeutic targets and to develop novel clinical applications. Dr. Subramanian is an author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has written numerous book chapters and review articles. He is the section Editor-in-Chief of the journal Vaccines. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Genetics and the Molecular Biosciences journals and serves on the Editorial Board of several journals including Cancers and Scientific Reports.
