Biographical Statement

Pamala A. Jacobson is a Distinguished Professor of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology in the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Jacobson is a member of the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center and director of its Clinical Pharmacology Shared Resource.

Dr. Jacobson joined the University of Minnesota in 1998. Her research has focused on the clinical pharmacology of immune suppressants and anticancer agents, specifically studying pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenetics of these agents to increase drug efficacy and decrease toxicity. Her primary work is with patients undergoing stem cell transplantation for cancer.
